D. Roy Ferguson, MD is Interim Director of the Gastroenterology-Hepatology Division and Director of Endoscopy at MetroHealth Medical Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Ferguson received his Gastroenterology-Hepatology Training at the Mayo Clinic after graduating from McGill University Medical School. He worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for many years before moving to Mt. Sinai Hospital from 1993-2000 and moved fulltime to the MetroHealth System in March 2000. He is currently the Director of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Dr. Ferguson's interests are in biliary tract disorders, hepatology and therapeutic endoscopy. He has served as committee chairs in the ASGE and ACG for standards of practice and guidelines. He is past regional governor for the American College of Gastroenterology and President of the American Liver Foundation.
