Kaine C Onwuzulike, MD, PhD

Dr. Kaine C. Onwuzulike received his MD from Case Western Reserve University School of medicine in 2006. In July 2008, he will begin his residency training in Neurological Surgery at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. He is a part-time lecturer and PhD candidate at Case Western, developing his dissertation on “The Genetics of Salt-Sensitive Hypertension in African Americans.” Dr. Onwuzulike presides on the Board and is a member of several professional associations including the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Black Academic Surgeons.

When not lecturing and researching his PhD, Dr. Onwuzulike serves on the board of directors of community organizations including the following: GIRLTALK: Girls in Real Life Tackling a Livid Killer – A program that trains high school girls from underrepresented minority groups to become leaders in the mounting struggle against HIV/AIDS. Legacy Associated Foundation - Philanthropic youth empowerment organization with the inherent principles of scholastic achievement, economic empowerment and community involvement.

Dr. Onwuzulike, is very proactive regarding Men's Health, and lectures and participates in men's health seminars.
