Dr. Smith is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Nutrition at The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio. Her research interests include selenium metabolism and requirements of females throughout the life cycle. Dr. Smith has published articles in journals like Breast Cancer Research Treatment, Journal of the American Dietetic Association and Biological Trace Element Research to name a few. She graduated with a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois. Additionally, Dr. Smith has her RD from the University of Utah. She belongs to the American Society for Nutrition, American Dietetic Association and Ohio Dietetic Association.
