Dr. Adkins earned two Bachelor’s degrees (Chemistry and Biology) from West Virginia University where he continued his education to earn his medical degree. He completed a 5 year residency program for both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at Christiana Care Health Services in Delaware, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year of training. For the past three years he has been a Fellow in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at OSU, again, serving as Chief Fellow this past year. He is also graduating this quarter with a Masters Degree in Medical Science at OSU. Dr. Adkins will focus his efforts on Critical Care in the Emergency Department. He will be splitting clinical time with 75% in the Emergency Department and 25% in the Intensive Care Unit.
