Carson is a native Buckeye and has Ohio roots going back to the early 1800s. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Wesleyan; and completed his Master’s and Doctorate Degrees from The Ohio State University. Since 1988 he has been involved in the development, coordination and administration of various publically or privately sponsored, single or multicenter, clinical or epidemiological research projects. In 2002 he initiated the Research Subject Advocacy program at The Ohio State University. Currently, he continues his role as the Research Subject Advocate, has been appointed to various Data and Safety Monitoring Committees, and serves as a Clinical Research Consultant for the OSU Center for Clinical and Translational Science, where he provides comprehensive protocol development and monitoring support for research teams.
