Bette K. Idemoto, PhD, RN, ACNS-BC, CCRN, graduated from The Ohio State University (BSN), The Medical College of Ohio (MSN), & Case Western Reserve University (PhD Nursing). She has been a cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist for 20 years at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, working with critically ill patients in the Surgical ICU and surgical post-op telemetry. Her doctoral research is delirium in the critically ill, with additional interests in smoking cessation, end of life and ethical issues.

Dr. Idemoto holds clinical faculty positions as a graduate nurse preceptor for Kent State University, University of Akron, Ursuline College and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing—Case Western Reserve University. She has served her profession as local chapter President (Greater Cleveland Nurses Association) delegate to ONA & ANA, and recently completed a four year elected term as a member of the ANA Congress on Nursing Practice & Economics.
