Infertility

The Center for Reproductive Health

The Center for Reproductive Health (CRH) at the University of Cincinnati opened in 1988 as a comprehensive patient care and research unit for women?s health. Experts affiliated with the Center for Reproductive health treat women with infertility, menopause, and endocrinologic disorders. In the Cincinnati area, this center has one of the highest success rates of In Vitro Fertilization and is the only center to specialize in the treatment of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). The CRH also works closely with urologists who specialize in male infertility, in order to provide couples with the most avenues for a successful pregnancy.

Some of the services the Center for Reproductive Health provides to their patients are: Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), assisted hatching, blastocyst culture, embryo cryopreservation, sperm banking, sex selection for genetic purposes, Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), and oncofertility. The CRH also holds a reunion each year for patients, which is now in its 18th year.

Three physicians are affiliated with the Center for Reproductive Health: Dr. Michael A. Thomas, Professor and the Division and Fellowship Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Dr. Mira Aubuchon the Director of the Center of Excellence in Polycystic Ovarian Disease, and Dr. Daniel Williams, Professor and Medical Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Daniel Williams is also NetWellness expert who answers questions in NetWellness's Infertility health topic. Dr. Williams is currently working on an egg storage program to assist cancer patients before they undergo cancer treatments that might make them infertile. Dr. Williams will be working with Drs. Michael A. Thomas and Mira Aubuchon on this important project.
