Throughout her life, a woman's body is changing and developing.
Health care for women includes the entire spectrum of a woman's life, not just pregnancy and childbirth. This means that mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and political, as well as physical aspects of women's lives, are part of women's health. We are also concerned about health for all women, and in all places where women live and work.
At each stage of a woman's life, there are important preventive health care steps to follow in order to provide early detection of medical problems, or to prevent them entirely. To maintain general good health:
Women often focus on health care for their family members and loved ones, while neglecting their own health. Taking time to maintain good health is crucial, for yourself and those around you. It is important to be informed about women's health issues and discuss them thoroughly with your health care provider.
