Pancreatic cancer and age08/24/2009 |
My question pertains to the commonality of pancreatic cancer with regards to age group. What I`d like to know-- since I haven`t seen much in the way of information-- is what exactly the rarity of this type of cancer in individuals in the 24-27 age range?
Pancreas cancer is extremely rare during this age group. Pancreas cancer occurs in the sixth and seventh decades of life. Patients in the third decade probably make up less than 5% of all patients. The exact number is not known.
