Prostate Cancer

Urinary Tract Infection Affecting PSA Levels

On January 6 2010 I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and put on antibiotics for 10 days.....On Feb 19 2010, I had blood work for a phsical and the PSA level went to 3.6....In March 2008 it was at 1.8...I am going to a Urologist on 3/11/2009

Do you think that the UTI caused the elevation? Do you think I need more antibiotics? Could the PSA test be too soon after the UTI Is it possible that the infection is gone and it takes the body time to recover
