Is Calcium Supplements

Question:

is it alright to take cacium supplements if you have althrosclorosis and heart desease? is it the same type of calcium that gets buit up in the arteries?

Answer:

It is better to take combination products that contain 1000 mg of Calcium carbonate 500 mg of magnesium oxide with 400 IU of Vitamin D3 per serving. It is not recommended to take plain calcium alone since it can be deposited in the plaques in arteries.
