Clotrimazole Cream for Skin or Vagina?

Dear Phamarcist, Usually in the package insert of Clotrimazole, it is contra-indicated on mucous membrane, but I usually notice that the doctor prescribe application of clotrimazole cream for skin to use on the vulva or labia along with suppository. Can clotrimazole cream be used this way?

Yes, clotrimazole cream can be applied to the labia and vulva.
